Why it costs what it costs. A good cabin opening lasts minutes. Catching it reliably means watching several booking systems around the clock, all season, without getting throttled or blocked, and only alerting you when something is genuinely, newly open. Membership is what keeps that watch running and keeps the circle small enough that an alert is still worth something.
